Margaret Sheppard
Margaret (seated the the font with Graham Sheppard) created a fake case with her brother Chris and solicitor Richard Walford and presented it at the Royal Courts of Justice before Master Bowles at a pre-hearing in an attempt to get Summary Judgment. This failed. Continued through 3 years of litigation to present false evidence and lies while also interfering with witneses and faking more evidence as required, e.g. Mower invoice presented to Court and to Ian Sheppard in the High Court as if it proved Ian's case could not be correct - yet the fax number at the top was Margaret's (the copy originally having been sent by her to Richard Walford, her solicitor) after she concocted it - clearly the case from the mess of fonts and sizes! Behind Graham and Margaret in this photo at their wedding in April 2004, 16 months before Graham passed away, are Graham's sister Carol (knew of intestacy but tried to stay out of it but was bullied into doing a statement for the Court saying how honest Margaret was!); Charlie Eden, Carol's husband and also knows about the intestacy but will not discuss with Ian; and Ruth & Tom Barling, Margaret's parents, who lied on affidavits of due execution presented to the Court. Even to obtain these, Margaret took the affidavits to the Commissioner for Oaths herself to have her, Gwen Grimshaw (a solicitor in Teignmouth) sign them - Gwen admitted to Ian in writing that Margaret had brought them to her for signing (i.e. Margaret's parents were not present as they should have been) but later it was left to others in her firm and to Margaret's solicitor Richard Walford to state this had not been the case. Decide for yourself - more lying from lawyers?

Chris Barling
Clearly knew all along that Margaret was lying. Early on called Ian Sheppard to offer to settle for £50,000. Ian refused and said he wanted Margaret to admit the truth. Acted as an executor alongside Margaret when he knew there was no valid will, so neither of them could assume to be executors.

Richard Walford
Solicitor/Partner at Gilbert Stephens in Exeter who helped Margaret create her fake case and pushed it through litigation to conclusion in full knowledge that it was not a true version of events, and that Ian Sheppard's recollection was correct, and his evidence valid. Utterly criminal behaviour totally contrary to the Law Society/SRA Code of Ethics.

Denise Gaines
Helped A4 Hire with their Accounting System 'and transferring from its old 'Hiremate' system and was fully aware that Graham Sheppard's account records were altererd by Paul Folland (A4 Hire owner) at the request of Margaret Sheppard (nee Barling), to change the 11/10/2004 record to 10/11/2004. Now a Liberal Democrat Councillor in Newbury/Hungerford. Was fully aware that the altered records were to be relied on my Ian Sheppard in the High Court but never admitted they were altered despite many opportunities, yet was very inconsistent in her communications in trying to cover up after accidentally e-mailing the records to Ian Sheppard when he requested them, originally. Came up with a last-minute holiday when Ian Sheppard wanted her to come to Court to testify, presumably once Richard Walford had told her the Court date had been fixed. Richard Walford put her under a lot of pressure to help Margaret's fake case, something she may yet regret if it comes to Court again.

Sir Nicholas Warren QC (Warren J, High Court Chancery Judge in 2007).
Presided over the hearing where Ian Sheppard presented his true account of events. Warren ignored the mower records and did everything the way Margaret Sheppard's barrister wanted her to do it. The trial was staged, however, Ian Sheppard realising that night the close relationship between Warren and Margaret's relative Sir Gerald Barling, another High Court Chancery judge who had been helping Margaret with her research into the Barling family tree (something she relayed to Ian Sheppard on three occasions in previous years). Warren and Barling were called to the Bar on the same day, are the same age, went to Oxford together and at the time of the case they were both on the Competition Appeal Tribunal at the RCJ (where the trial took place), of which Sir Gerald was at the time Chairman.

Dawn Redwood
Ian Sheppard recalled that when he visited his father at his great uncle Edward Norrington's house on the afternoon of 12th October 2004, his father (Graham Sheppard) said he had been to the Harry Edward's Sanctuary in Shere, Surrey to see Dawn Redwood, his healer. Uncle Norrie drove (as Graham had come on the train) and Graham had wanted Norrie to see the Sanctuary, and Dawn too. Dawn has always refused to communicate with Ian, and Tony Jode who ran the Sanctuary was very obstructive and unwelcoming and refused to check any records or diaries. Ian came to recall the entire day of 12th October 2004 in detail, having had to reconstruct it (having no diary of that time himself) but everything fitted together so well with events both before and after that day, there can be absolutely no doubt that Ian's recollection is 100% the true version over events - with Margaret Sheppard driving up the A303 with Graham's will ('witnessed' that morning by her parents) due to concern Graham was at great risk of dying on their trip to Rome the next day. Ian recalls Margaret was on her way and offered them a lift to Heathrow the next day, which his father accepted. That evening Graham called to delcine the offer saying they'd booked a taxi - a change made by Margaret when she arrived from Teignmouth (having also fogotten to bring Nicola Sheppard's birthday card - another part of the puzzle and one that made it obvious Margaret had stayed in Teignmouth to wait for the BA Rome tickets - something Graham admitted to Ian and Nicola Sheppard when he called on them the next week, apologising for not having the birthday card and blaming Margaret).

Sir Gerald Barling QC (High Court Chancery Judge at the RCJ)
Ian is suspicious that Sir Gerald became a judge in 2007 in order to help Margaret fix her case, but that aside it became obvious to Ian after the trial that Barling had been pulling the strings to get his friend to preside over the trial in the knowledge he would find for Margaret and ignore the obvious, that Graham had no valid will. Even in applying for leave to appeal Barling got his friend Sir John Chadwick, a fellow fox-hunting judge who had supposedly retired, to preside at the Court of Appeal. Unfortunately for him , that judge only said one thing - that supposed witness Margaret Bacon could be relied on to have been there, as stated in her witness statement. Yet Ian Sheppard found an e-mail from Margaret where she said this friend Margaret Bacon recalled Margaret Sheppard's parents (Tom and Ruth) saying Margaret and Graham would be coming for that purpose. Thus it is clear Margaret Bacon had that expectation, not that she had any first-hand knowledge that it actually happened. In fact, Graham caught the train to Teignmouth while Margaret the next morning (12th October) went to her parents to get them to sign Graham's will before she started the drive up to Hersham - arriving after Ian had left for law classes (Ian never became a lawyer - I expect you can see why!)

Paul Gregory Folland
Paul Holland pretended that the tractor-mower hire was 10/11/2024 rather than 11th October 2004 but it was obvious he had altered the Hiremate records (from 11/10 to 10/11) for Graham Sheppard's account. Ian's analysis of the mower records proved that the hire could not be in early November 2004, as Graham was with Margaret in Dublin on 10th November. They changed to say it was 7th but that was the day they flew from Exeter, the Monday, and there was no Flybe flight on the Tuesday. The November date did not make sense for various reasons yet the Court (Judge Nicholas Warren) accepted the fake invoice Margaret's barrister presented in Court, ignoring the fact Margaret's fax number was on the top (giving away that she had sent it to her solicitor) and the fonts were all different sized - essentially it was a cut-and paste fake invoice.
